We the undersigned want April as Confederate History and Heritage Month in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We ask Governor Mark Warner to sign the Proclamation that would honor all the men and women of Virginia and the South who fought for their homes, families and country. They were patriots who sacrificed their all in a war that most Virginians viewed as the Second War of Independence. They fought for freedom as their grandfathers had done against the British. Their courageous story of honor, bravery and self-sacrifice cross all boundaries of races and religions. Governor Warner, do not forget their loyalty and devotion to Virginia. Please sign the Proclamation for Confederate History and Heritage Month and show that Confederate History is for all Virginians.
