It is with great pleasure that I announce Joseph H. Lively as the new 
Virginia Division Heritage Defense Coordinator. Joe is a former chemist, 
military officer and recently retired chemistry teacher. He has been the 
guest speaker at numerous SCV camps and is the author of the book "Our 
Forgotten Folk Heritage, Notes of a Time Traveler..." 

Joe works tirelessly for our Confederate Cause and is a big supporter of 
the Sam Davis Youth Camp sponsored by the SCV. He realizes that the 
future of our organization depends on our ability to pass on the true 
history of our Southern heritage to our children.

We are fortunate to not only have Joe Lively as our Division Heritage 
Defense Coordinator, but Past Virginia Division Commander Frank Earnest 
was recently appointed as our new National Heritage Defense Chief at the 
National Reunion in Concord, NC. Through the efforts of both gentlemen 
diligently working together, I am certain that our Southern heritage 
will be preserved for future generations.
