This invitation was forwarded to me by 1st Lt. Cmdr. Grayson Jennings. 
It is good to know that our presence at the Virginia State Fair had a 
positive impact on the community. Any SCV camps or individual members 
that can lend a hand with the following request, please contact the 
sponsor listed in the e-mail below.

Once again my thanks go to Rob Millikin for coordinating all of the 
State Fair activities for the Division booth and all the members and 
camps that helped man the SCV booth for the past 2 weeks. This is the 
same type of volunteering spirit that our ancestors exhibited when they 
were called upon to serve.

Dear Mr. Grayson Jennings and Mr. Stan Balderson --
 
I found your contact information on the SCV website.
 
Some folks from down this way (King & Queen) who visited the SCV  camp 
at the State Fair have expressed their admiration for the excellent  
educational program.
 
We are extending an invitation to SCV for any member(s) of any  camp who 
might wish to represent the ordinary Confederate soldier at  this year's 
OLD TIME COMMUNITY FALL FESTIVAL.  It is Saturday,  October 18th, 11 AM 
to 3 PM, at the Upper King & Queen Ruritan Park (1 mile  NE of the 
stoplight at St. Stephens Church and Rte 360).
 
The event is free and open to the public.  We expect several hundred  
attendees again this year and would be most appreciative of SCV  
participation.
