If someone from your camp is able to man the Virginia Division booth at
the State Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 30, please contact Cmdr. Rob Millikin
as soon as possible. I would like to thank those camps who have signed
up so far to assist Rob with this important recruitment and public
relations effort. We could not do it without you.

Gentlemen,
One day left to cover!! James City Cavalry had to change their date
from Tuesday Sept to Thursday Oct 2^nd , so we need a Camp to cover
Tuesday Sept 30.

*Subject:* State Fair
The Virginia Division is once again sponsoring a booth at the upcoming
State Fair of Virginia .
We need a Camp to man the booth each day of the Fair to sell Division
items and distribute recruiting information. Each Camp ideally needs 4
to 6 men to volunteer to man the booth. We need two to three men to work
the first half of the day and two to three men to work the last half of
the day. Please contact your Camp members and ask if anyone wants to
volunteer.
Camp members need to be at the Fair 30 minutes before and after the
operating hours of the Fair to set-up and pack up.
Jerry Wells, who is a big part to the success of the booth at the State
Fair will not be available to help this year. So what this means to you
is that I need a person, ideally a retired member who can be at the
booth each morning to assist on the setup and then on every other day to
assist in closing the booth for the evening. This member would receive
a parking pass and admission pass for the whole event time. I would
also need this member to help me setup the booth and take it down.
Do you have a member that can do this?? If a member does not come
forward to help, then what that will mean is that each Camp will have to
setup and take down the booth with only written instructions to go by.
Also, on the nights that I don't come up then the Camp would be
responsible for counting and depositing the money collected that day.
In past years when we have tried this, we had mixed success. So, I am
really hoping that someone will come forward to help.
Also, the State Fair is requiring a list of workers in order for vendors
to order additional tickets, so I will also need from you a list of
names that will be manning the booth.
The list doesn't have to be the accurate, everybody knows things change
and there are last minute additions or subtractions, but I do need to
give the State Fair a schedule of names to order tickets.
Thank-you,
Rob Millikin
