The Edmund Rufin Fire-Eaters are proud to announce that Pat McSweeney will
be the May speaker at our Camp meeting. Pat is a former Chairman of the
Virginia Republican Party and has been long associated with conservative
causes. His topic will revolve around the formation of the Confederate
government and the great desire to make it a "second American Revolution"
based on the principles of America's Founding Fathers.
Pat is presently working with Restore the Founder's Vision to create a grass
roots conservative movement in Virginia which will impact state and local
politics in a way which has been forgotten by both parties.
Pat represents the Virginia Division in the resolution of the Oakwood
Cemetery dispute between the City of Richmond and the Virginia Division over
management of the Confederate Section of the cemetery. He is a longtime
friend of the SCV. Pat also was responsible for the legal work which led to
the loss of 501c3 non-profit status and a $23000 civil judgment by the
Commonwealth against the US Historical Society during the Lincoln statue
controversy.
The Edmund Ruffin Fire-Eaters invite all interested people and fellow
Compatriots to come to our meeting on May 6 at the Calabash Restaurant on
Lee-Davis Road in Mechanicsville to hear Pat. The meeting begins at 7pm but
we urge people to come earlier to eat.
