Dear Division Commanders,
 
I hope you all are well. Please pardon this mass mailing to you but I 
need your assistance as quickly as possible.
 
I am sure you know about the ARCA race car that we are sponsoring in the 
Carolina 200 at Rockingham, North Carolina on April the 19th of this 
year. I have chosen this particular race because NASCAR has no control 
or influence on this race what so ever. You will receive a full report 
on this negotiation later, but suffice it to say ARCA and the James 
Hylton Motorsports Team has been more than cooperative and kind to us.
 
For this upcoming race, I am doing all I can to make sure that this is 
not only an excellent opportunity to advertise and strengthen our brand 
but to create an event that as many of our Compatriots can contribute to 
and enjoy as possible.
 
Besides the work on exactly what the car will look like, I am working on 
setting up a hospitality tent at the track so fans can meet the driver 
and we can introduce the SCV to more people and recruit. Another 
aspect I am working on is securing a special section in the stands for 
SCV members so we can have as many of our people together as possible. I 
can imagine a sea of Battle Flags from this section. I am also working 
on getting a discount for SCV members' tickets. The tickets for race 
week in Daytona were outlandishly expensive. At Rockingham they are 
already reasonable at $20-$35, but I am trying to get a discount beyound 
this.
 
_Here is what I need from you. I need something of a head count_. This 
will help me get the prices as low as possible. Please send out a 
questionnaire and try to give me and idea of how many Compatriots from 
your Division have high hopes or intentions of attending. I realize that 
we will enjoy few, if any Compatriots from the distant locations, but 
any numbers you can give me will be helpful.
 
Rockingham is an excellent location for this event. The SCV has at least 
9,000 members in relative easy driving distance to the race track. We 
can fill the stands, excite interest in our cause and have a great time 
doing it.
 
I am including one of the renderings of the car. We are still working on 
the design. The design here is from an outside firm. Soon we will have a 
design from our own art director, Rob Jones. I will send you the final 
design once we have decided on it.
