For those who havent heard, I will give a status report on Brandon Dorsey.
Brandon was injured in a motorcycle accident immediately following the ANV
meeting in Harpers Ferry. A group of us were on the way to Sharpsburg for a
battlefield tour by former Maryland Division Commander Jerry Bayer. Brandon
and his Father were following us in a caravan on the route AP Hill took from
Harpers Ferry to Sharpsburg when he slid on loose gravel. The motorcycle
turned over on him, severely breaking his leg, and dragging him for some
distance. The motorcycle then went over an embankment and came to a stop.
Luckily, Brandon did not go over the embankment with the motorcycle.
 
Ambulalnces quickly got to the scene of the accident and Brandon was
transported to a Harpers Ferry medical facility which was not equipped to
handle the severity of the broken leg. He is now in Winchester at the
Winchester Medical Center. 
 
Tomorrow morning, Brandon must undergo surgery to place plates in his leg
and screws. He is somewhat sedated with painkillers but is in otherwise
pretty good spirits. I think he will be home in Lexington either Wednesday
or Thursday and will have to undergo a lengthy rehab.  I saw his leg and the
swelling looked like he had a football where the breaks occurred. I am sure
it is very painful and I think everyone should keep Brandon in their
thoughts and prayers. When I hear more I will let you know.
