[VAcourier] Hotel Reservations for the Division Convention

[Virginia Division SCV Communication List]

Cmdr. Giles of the Garland-Rodes Camp called to explain that there are 
still rooms available at the host hotel for the Virginia Division 
Convention. Even though the block rooms were all gone, the hotel is 
willing to make space for additional SCV members. However, some 
individuals who called the 1-800 number were told there were no 
additional rooms since the block rooms were already gone. Please contact 
the Holiday Inn Select in Lynchburg, VA at their local number listed 
below instead of using the 1-800 number and say that you are attending 
the SCV Convention. If you have any questions, please contact. Cmdr. 
Giles at the number below.

Camp Commanders,

Recently, I have received some information that some members have called 
the hotel, to reserve their rooms, and was advised that there was no 
rooms left, or some other misunderstandings on the hotel behalf.
I have spoke w/ the hotel, and there are rooms still available for those 
who want to make reservations. I will also go by the hotel within the 
next day or so to clear up things with the management, so this will not 
happen again. Please pass onto your members when making the reservations 
to call the local number 434-528-2500 NOT the 1-800 number.

We do apologize for any and all confusion, that this may have caused any 
of your members.
